Step inside master songwriter Guy Clark’s workshop, where he wrote songs, listened to records, built instruments, and created his legacy. In 2020, staff at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum painstakingly reconstructed the space—his cassette wall, woodworking tools, handmade workbench, guitars, and more—inside the exhibition “Outlaws & Armadillos: Country’s Roaring ’70s.”
“When people see this workshop where Guy Clark created art, they’re going to understand the intentionality of who this man was and what his process was like," says Peter Cooper, the Museum's senior director, producer, and writer. “This is where he did his work. This is where he created his legacy.”
In the exhibition, visitors can get a behind-the-scenes glimpse into Clark’s personal haven and creative home. Learn more about Clark, the workshop, and the exhibition by watching the video here.
