Grand Ole Opry member Craig Morgan shares songs and stories from throughout his career as a part of the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum’s weekly Songwriter Session series. This program was recorded on June 7, 2025, in the Museum’s Ford Theater.
Accompanied by his frequent collaborator, producer Phil O’Donnell, Morgan performs intimate renditions of several of his past hits, including “Redneck Yacht Club,” and “Give It All We Got Tonight,” made famous by Country Music Hall of Fame member George Strait. He also shares songs off his 2025 EP, “American Soundtrack,” including the title track and “Blue Collar Prayer.”
Throughout the program, Morgan describes his most impactful fan interactions, how his collaboration with Jelly Roll came to be, and his experience competing for charity on the CBS survival reality show "Beyond the Edge" alongside country singer Lauren Alaina, former NBA player Meta World Peace, and former NFL player Ray Lewis. The program concludes with a performance of Morgan’s 2006 hit “International Harvester.”
Morgan is an actor, author, singer, soldier, and songwriter. He wrote his songs “Almost Home,” “Bonfire,” “I Got You,” “More Trucks Than Cars,” and “The Father, My Son, and the Holy Ghost,” and all but one of the songs on his latest EP, “American Soundtrack.” Morgan released a memoir, “God, Family, Country,” in 2022.
