Martina McBride performs, discusses her creative process, and shares the stories behind her music with songwriters and collaborators Leslie Satcher, husband-and-wife songwriters Chris Lindsey and Aimee Mayo, and Brett Warren, one half of the Warren Brothers with his brother Brad. Part of the Museum’s “Live at the Hall” series, this live performance was recorded on July 12, 2022, and is presented in support of the exhibition Martina McBride: The Power of Her Voice.
Joined by McBride, Leslie Satcher performs “When God-Fearin’ Women Get the Blues,” Brad Warren performs “Teenage Daughters,” which McBride also co-wrote, and Chris Lindsey and Aimee Mayo perform “This One’s for the Girls.”

Satcher performs “Troubadour,” recorded by George Strait, Lindsey and Mayo perform “Amazed,” a #1 for Lonestar on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs and Hot 100 charts, and Warren and McBride perform “I Will Not Fall Down,” recorded by Tim McGraw for his 2012 album “Emotional Traffic.”
Additionally, Lindsey and Mayo co-wrote McBride’s single “Cry, Cry (‘Til the Sun Shines), and songs recorded by Sara Evans, Tim McGraw, Kellie Pickler, Blake Shelton. The Warren Brothers co-wrote McBride’s “Wrong Baby Wrong,” and “Anyway,” and their songs have been recorded by Jason Aldean, Dierks Bentley, Faith Hill, Toby Keith, Jerrod Niemann. Together, Lindsey, Mayo, and the Warren Brothers co-wrote “How I Feel” with McBride.
