Emily West and the band Whiskey Wolves of the West visit Historic RCA Studio B for a special holiday concert, performing a selection of original compositions, holiday favorites, and songs originally recorded in Studio B—including “The End of the World” by Skeeter Davis and “If Every Day Was Like Christmas” by Elvis Presley.
Recorded on December 8, 2018, the program is presented here as part of the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum’s “Live at the Hall” series.
Historic RCA Studio B is one of the world’s most famous recording studios, where Country Music Hall of Fame members Presley, Chet Atkins, Eddy Arnold, Floyd Cramer, the Everly Brothers, Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson, Dolly Parton, Dottie West, and others recorded their hits.
Emily West signed with Capitol in 2008 and landed two Top Forty singles on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart—“Blue Sky” and “Rocks in Your Shoes”—both of which she co-wrote. Her interest in musical theater inspired a move to New York, where she performed a one-woman show. West was a finalist on “America’s Got Talent” in 2014, and after competing on the show, she signed a record deal with Sony Masterworks and opened several shows for Jay Leno. In 2017, she released an EP, “Symphonies,” and, in 2018, released the single “Out of Sight, Out of Mind,” featuring Whiskey Wolves of the West.
