On stage at the Museum, recording artist and songwriter Hannah Dasher performs a selection of songs she’s written, including the autobiographical tune “You’re Gonna Love Me,” “The Tree,” co-written with Casey Beathard, and her first cut by a major artist, “Go to Bed Early,” recorded by Brad Paisley. Dasher also performs “1990s Heartbreak,” “My Life Was a Country Song,” and “Ugly Houses,” telling the stories behind these songs, and answering questions from the audience.
Part of the Museum’s “Live at the Hall” series, this live performance was recorded on August 28, 2021.
Dasher grew up outside Savannah, Georgia. After graduating from the University of Georgia, she moved to Nashville to pursue a career as an artist and songwriter. In 2012, Dasher landed a publishing deal and five years later, signed a record deal with Sony Music Nashville. In 2021 she released her debut EP, “The Half Record,” and was named a member of CMT’s “Next Women of Country.”
