John Sebastian—best known for his work with the Lovin’ Spoonful—is joined by guitarist Arlen Roth on “Welcome Back,” the “Billboard” Hot 100 chart-topping theme song to the 1970s television sitcom “Welcome Back, Kotter,” and “Did You Ever Have to Make Up Your Mind?,” the second single from the Lovin’ Spoonful’s 1965 debut album “Do You Believe in Magic.”
Part of the Museum’s “Live at the Hall” series, these live performances were recorded on September 9, 2021.
For his main “Live at the Hall” program, Sebastian joins the Museum’s Michael Gray to discuss his career in folk, country, pop, and rock music. Sebastian and Roth also perform the Lovin’ Spoonful songs “Nashville Cats” and “Lovin’ You.”
