Rock & roll guitar great Duane Eddy reminisces about his career and performs five of his classic songs during this February 2016 program at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum, part of the Nashville Cats series, recognizing musicians and session singers whose careers have made an indelible mark on country music history.

Alongside an all-star Nashville band, Eddy performs early hits "Movin' 'n' Groovin'" and "Ramrod," and describes debuting "Ramrod" on national TV before it was recorded, then rushing the song to press because of demand. Eddy also performs "Three-Thirty Blues" and describes a fateful backstage encounter with a "fan," blues icon B.B. King.

Over the course of the program, Eddy shares back stories on pivotal songs and moments in his career, from finding "The Race Is On" for George Jones, to helping Waylon Jennings get his RCA recording contract, producing Phil Everly's first solo record in 1973, recording "You Are My Sunshine" with Jennings and Willie Nelson, playing on the Grand Ole Opry with Chet Atkins, and recording an album of collaborations that featured Paul McCartney and George Harrison.

Eddy also shares memories of branching out into acting, appearing in the film "A Thunder of Drums" and in two episodes of the TV Western "Have Gun Will Travel," and talks about the experience of having his music featured on movie soundtracks, including "Forrest Gump" and "Selma."

The program ends with performances of "Peter Gunn," which earned Eddy a 1986 Grammy for Best Rock Instrumental, and "Rebel Rouser," the 1958 breakout hit that turned Duane Eddy into an early rock & roll star.
