As one of the legendary Nashville Cats and “A-Team” session players, Harold Bradley has contributed to sessions resulting in hundreds of chart-topping recordings and hit movie soundtracks. In the studio and on stage he adeptly glides between the genres of country, pop, jazz, R&B, and rock & roll to deliver a lead guitar melody or a rhythm/beat that enhances the performer and engages the listener. In this interview, Bradley shares stories from his extensive music career and the audience hears audio clips of his award-winning collaborations from “Crazy” to “Roll In My Sweet Baby’s Arms” to the “Bunny Hop”.
Bradley is also known for his work as President of the Nashville Chapter of the American Federation of Musicians. In this program, Tom Lee, president of the International Union, presents Bradley the Lifetime Achievement Award, honoring his dedicated service to musicians as an international ambassador for Music Row. Bradley is also a member of Country Music Hall of Fame and the Musicians Hall of Fame and has been awarded a Grammy Trustees Award for his many significant contributions to the field of recording.
Owen Bradley, older by a decade, introduced his brother, Harold, to the music industry. The Bradleys owned and operated several recording studios in Nashville, including the famous Quonset Hut.
