Virtual program “American Currents: Celebrating the State of the Music” offers an introduction to the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum's “American Currents: State of the Music”—an annual exhibition that spotlights significant developments in country music over the previous year, and marks the connections between many of today’s artists and those who have paved the way.
The 2021 event features performances by and interviews with exhibition artists Luke Combs, Rissi Palmer, Billy Strings, plus an introduction from Country Music Hall of Fame member Vince Gill, and an exploration of the exhibition with Museum CEO Kyle Young.
Other artists recognized in the 2021 installment of the exhibition “American Currents: State of the Music” include: Jimmie Allen, Ingrid Andress, Gabby Barrett, Casey Beathard, The Chicks, Eric Church, Charley Crockett, Freddy Fender, Mickey Guyton, Faith Hill, Hot Country Knights, Miranda Lambert, Ashley McBryde, Lester “Roadhog” Moran & the Cadillac Cowboys, Maren Morris, Dolly Parton, John Prine, Darius Rucker, Sister Sadie, Dan + Shay, and Eddie Stubbs.
