Bell Bottom Country: Creating the Lainey Wilson Look
1h 15m
Lainey Wilson and two of her main creative collaborators, CeCe Dawson and Raina Gir—discuss how Wilson’s style and branding have evolved throughout her career. This program, moderated by the Museum’s Jon Freeman and presented in support of the exhibition Lainey Wilson: Tough as Nails, was recorded on September 6, 2025.
During the program, Wilson reflects on the distinct aesthetics that define each of her albums. Dawson, her creative director, explains, “Wherever her mind, her music, and her style go is where we all follow.” Gir, her wardrobe stylist, breaks down the process of creating new wardrobe pieces for Wilson from scratch. Together, Dawson, Gir, and Wilson share how Wilson’s aesthetic influence everything from stage props to the vision for her Lower Broadway bar, Bell Bottoms Up.
Wilson begins 2026 with a tour in Australia and New Zealand. Throughout the year, she will play major festivals including Stagecoach and the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival. Additionally, Wilson play solo headline concerts and join Chris Stapelton on select dates of his All-American Road Show stadium tour.
