Bill Anderson • Live at the Hall, 2022
1h 21m
Country Music Hall of Fame member Bill Anderson joins the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum in for an intimate interview and performance, tracing his lauded, decades-long career as a recording artist, songwriter, TV host, and actor.
Recorded live at the Museum on December 4, 2021, the program is presented here as part of the digital series “Live at the Hall.”
Over the course of the interview, Anderson shares memories and insights from his career, and performs his songs “City Lights” (a hit for Ray Price in 1958), “Still,” and “Too Country.”
The Museum explored Anderson's life and music to create the exhibition “Bill Anderson: As Far as I Can See” (open December 3, 2021, through March 19, 2023), plotting the path that took the now-Grand Ole Opry mainstay from his childhood days in Georgia to a passion for sportswriting in high school, time as a disc jockey in college, and ultimately, his growth into one of the most decorated recording artists, songwriters, and entertainers in history.
