“Reboot,” Brooks & Dunn's first studio album in twelve years, rose to #1 in 2019, the same year the duo had its first national tour in nearly a decade. Here, just months after releasing "Reboot," Kix Brooks and Ronnie Dunn join longtime Brooks & Dunn manager Clarence Spalding to discuss a career that, as the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum's Michael McCall says, “started off with four straight #1 hits and never really stopped from there.”
During the “Proud Of The House We Built” program Country Music Hall of Fame members Brooks and Dunn speak to their sustained success in the 1990s and 2000s, and talk about how they were not overnight sensations. Kix Brooks and Ronnie Dunn spent more than a decade as solo artists, each working on their songwriting craft individually, before finding their long-lasting and definitive sound as Brooks & Dunn and reaching the top of the country music charts.
Clarence Spalding talks about his professional relationship with the duo and the guidance he provided over the years, while also capturing some of the more startling scenes of life on the Brooks & Dunn tour bus.
Taking place on August 24, 2019, this conversation with Spalding, Brooks and Dunn also served as a lead-up to Brooks & Dunn’s induction to the Country Music Hall of Fame and a commemoration of the duo’s Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum exhibition, “Brooks & Dunn: Kings of Neon.”
