In the Museum’s CMA Theater, singer-songwriter and recording artist Sam Williams performs the deeply personal song “The World: Alone,” included on his 2021 album “Glasshouse Children,” and “Long Gone Lonesome Blues,” a 1950 hit for his grandfather, Country Music Hall of Fame member Hank Williams. Part of the Museum’s “Live at the Hall” series, these live performances were taped on July 2, 2021.
For his main “Live at the Hall” program, Williams joins the Museum’s Michael McCall to talk about his songwriting style, how he ended up signing a record deal, and the misconceptions that come with growing up as member of one of country music’s most famous families. He also performs “Can’t Fool Your Own Blood” and “Happy All the Time.”
