Learn about the life and music of Hank Williams Jr., who, like his famous father, created a distinctive and influential sound, wrote enduring, widely loved songs, and became a member of the Country Music Hall of Fame.
Beginning his career at age eight, Hank Jr. initially performed and recorded his father’s songs, but as he matured, he shaped a bold public persona and a musical style of his own, influencing generations of country singers that followed. His achievements include twenty-one gold and platinum albums and a long list of significant hits, “Family Tradition,” “All My Rowdy Friends (Have Settled Down),” and “A Country Boy Can Survive” among them.
In 2020, Hank Williams Jr. was announced among the year’s class of new Country Music Hall of Fame members, alongside Dean Dillon and Marty Stuart.
