Songwriter and recording artist Frank Ray shares songs and stories in this online episode of “Live at the Hall,” filmed April 23, 2022. The BBR Music Group Recording Artist’s singles include “Country’d Look Good on You,” “Streetlights,” and his 2018 song, “Tequila Mockingbird.” Having grown up in San Antonio, Texas, and Las Cruces, New Mexico, Ray discusses his Mexican heritage, musical influences, and finding his place in today’s country music landscape.
After a decade in law enforcement, Ray won a Battle of the Bands competition, securing him spot to open for Keith Urban. This experience cemented his decision to pursue music professionally. He released his debut EP, “Different Kind of Country,” in 2017, appeared on the USA Network show “Real Country” in 2018, and, in 2021, signed a record deal with BBR Music Group. He has opened for Kane Brown, Luke Bryan, Luke Combs, Brett Eldredge, Eli Young Band, Elvie Shane, and Josh Turner.
