Musician and visual artist Jon Langford joins the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum’s Warren Denney to discuss his varied career, and performs a selection of songs live.
Langford is a founding member of the punk band the Mekons, the post-punk group the Three Johns, and the alternative-country ensembles the Waco Brothers and Pine Valley Cosmonauts. He is also known for creating striking portraits of country music icons, and created the primary artwork for the Museum’s exhibition “Dylan, Cash, and the Nashville Cats: A New Music City,” which is now available in digital form here:

The Museum commission led to a collaboration between Jon Langford and Hatch Show Print’s former master printer Jim Sherraden. Together they created a piece based on Bob Dylan’s song “Girl from the North Country,” which Langford performs here. He also plays his own song “Nashville Radio.”
Taped on October 26, 2021, this program is part of the Museum’s “Live at the Hall” series.
