Fiddle players Bronwyn Keith-Hynes and Jason Carter perform a rendition of Butthole Surfers’ 1996 hit, “Pepper.” Part of the Museum’s “Live at the Hall” series, this live performance was recorded on August 28, 2022.
Bronwyn Keith-Hynes co-founded the progressive bluegrass band Mile Twelve. She released her debut solo album, “Fiddler’s Pastime,” in 2020 and won the International Bluegrass Music Associations Fiddle Player of the Year award in 2021. She has recorded or performed with Dailey & Vincent, Sierra Hull, the Milk Carton Kids, Tim O’Brien, and Molly Tuttle & Golden Highway.
Jason Carter is a longtime member of the Del McCoury Band and a founding member of the Travelin’ McCourys. Jason has won three Grammy awards and has been named the IBMA Fiddle Player of the Year five times. He has recorded or performed with Dierks Bentley, Sam Bush, June Carter, Charlie Daniels, Steve Earle, Vince Gill, Patty Loveless, Ricky Skaggs, Ralph Stanley, Marty Stuart, and more.
