Country singer Jon Pardi—whose self-penned hits include “Head Over Boots” and “Heartache on the Dance Floor”—shares live songs and answers audience questions during an intimate 2017 Songwriter Session at the Museum, presented in support of the exhibition “American Currents: The Music of 2016,” which paired Pardi with his musical inspiration, Country Music Hall of Fame member Buck Owens.
The 2017 Academy of Country Music “New Male Vocalist of the Year,” whose musical output is steeped in the traditional country music of West Coast honky-tonks, offers insight into his songwriting process, his love life, his set-list development, and more, and shares live acoustic performances of a mix of his songs.
Among Jon Pardi’s live performances: favorites from his 2014 debut album, “Write You a Song” (“Love You From Here” and “Chasin’ Them Better Days”), the title track from follow-up “California Sunrise,” 2016 hit “Head Over Boots,” and the Motown-inspired “Heartache on the Dance Floor.”
Presented in support of the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum exhibition “American Currents: The Music of 2016” (March 17, 2017 through March 2018).
