Blues guitar player and songwriter Keb’ Mo’ performs “This is My Home” and “Henry” from his Grammy award-winning albums “Oklahoma” and “Slow Down,” respectively. Part of the Museum’s “Live at the Hall” series, these Bonus Tracks were recorded on August 19, 2021.
A five-time Grammy winner, Keb’ Mo’ has released eighteen albums and collaborated with a wide variety of artists, including the Chicks, Eric Clapton, Amy Grant, and Bonnie Raitt.
In 2020, he took part in the Museum’s digital fundraiser “BIG NIGHT (At the Museum),” performing “Loving Arms” by Dobie Gray using Country Music Hall of Fame member Jimmie Rodgers’s 1928 custom Weymann guitar, normally kept behind glass.
For his main “Live at the Hall” program, Keb’ Mo’ joins the Museum’s Peter Cooper to discuss how he became involved in music, the differences between Los Angeles and Nashville, and his support for today’s emerging Black country artists. He also performs his songs “Good Strong Woman” and “Old Me Better.”
