Ruby Amanfu and Sam Ashworth collaborate during a live co-writing session, with support from Adam Ollendorff and Kevin Dailey, to close out season two of the Museum's learning series "Words & Music at Home." During the live broadcast on August 26, 2021, YouTube viewers contribute by submitting ideas through comments, so the singer-songwriters can react and respond to prompts and write an original song in real time.
YouTube users who comment and engage during the co-write are entered to win a prize pack that includes an Epiphone AJ-220 S/N guitar, a family Museum membership, a lifetime American Songwriter Membership, and more.
Husband and wife Ashworth and Amanfu are accomplished recording artists and songwriters individually, and together, they regularly collaborate in songwriting, including on H.E.R.'s hit single "Hard Place," which earned Grammy nominations in 2019 for Record of the Year and Song of the Year.
"Words & Music at Home" was developed to help aspiring songwriters of all ages learn about songwriting, at any time, from anywhere. The live co-write and other season two episodes complement additional songwriting resources on the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum's website, including a step-by-step guide to the lyric-writing process.
"Words & Music at Home" season two is made possible with support from American Songwriter, CMA, CMA Foundation, and YouTube.
